Call for Papers

General Information

  • The EurOMA 2026 Organizing Committee welcomes the submission of high-quality abstracts for oral presentations during the meeting, focusing on a wide variety of topics.
  • The abstract must adhere to the formatting in the sample abstract. Please use the templates provided here:

Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts are to be written in English and should be submitted electronically using the online tool, according to the template available on the website.
  • The abstract submission deadline is January 14th 2026 at midnight (CET). The notification letters will be sent by February 27th 2026.
  • All abstracts must be relevant to the conference topics. Authors will be asked to indicate the topic(s) which relate(s) most closely to the focus of the abstract. This is to assist with the review process and the creation of the conference programme itself.
  • Length of the abstract: max. 1000 words. (including title, main text and references). Abstracts exceeding the limit will be rejected. The abstract should be uploaded in .docx format and must not include author names.
  • The title of the full paper has to be the same as the one of the initial abstract.
  • Your full paper will be accepted on the understanding that the submitted manuscript is an original work and has not been copyrighted or published.
  • Please remember that author names must not be included in the abstract!

Full Paper Submission Guidelines

  • If your abstract is accepted, you will have to submit a full paper and at least one of the authors will have to register to attend the conference by April 15th 2026 (noon – CET) .
  • Full papers have to be submitted electronically using the abstract management system.
  • Full papers have to be submitted by April 15th 2026 (noon – CET) at the latest. Papers submitted after the deadline will not be included in the conference program.
  • The title of the full paper has to be the same as the one of the initial abstract.
  • The overall length of the paper, including all illustrations, tables, and references, is limited to 10 pages.
  • The paper must adhere to the formatting in the sample abstract. Please use the template provided.
  • Your full paper will be accepted on the understanding that the submitted manuscript is an original work and has not yet been copyrighted or published.
  • The full papers will be made available to the participants of the conference, and only to them, via the proceedings (not accessible to the public).

Special Session Proposal Submission Guidelines

Special Sessions offer a unique opportunity to explore emerging or interdisciplinary topics, foster scholarly dialogue, and engage the EUROMA community in innovative ways. Each Special Session lasts 90 minutes and can take one of the following formats:

  • Panel Discussion: A moderated discussion among invited experts on a specific topic, including audience interaction and Q&A.
  • Paper Presentation Session: A curated set of short paper presentations around a shared theme, followed by discussion.
  • Interactive Workshop: A hands-on session designed to engage participants in activities related to paper development, methodological skills enhancement, or similar.

Please follow the below instructions to submit an abstract for a special session proposal:

  • Special Session proposals are to be written in English and should be submitted electronically using the online tool available on the website.
  • The submission deadline is January 14th, 2026 at midnight (CET). Notification letters will be sent by February 27th, 2026.
  • For Special Sessions, please choose the keyword "Special Session" as a topic when uploading in the system.
  • The proposal should include the following elements:
    • Organizers: Names, affiliations, and contact details of the panel organizers.
    • Speakers/Contributors: Names and affiliations of invited or intended contributors (e.g., panelists, presenters, facilitators).
    • Introduction / Rationale: A brief overview of the topic, including why it is relevant and timely for the EUROMA community. Include the aim of the session.
    • Format: Indicate the chosen format (Panel Discussion, Paper Presentation Session, or Interactive Workshop). Describe the session structure, including duration and audience engagement strategies. For a paper presentation, please include titles and short abstracts of the papers to be presented.
    • Agenda: A breakdown of session components with estimated time allocations (e.g., welcome, presentations, discussion, Q&A, closing).
  • Length: max. 1000 words (including title, main text, and if needed references). Submissions exceeding the limit will be rejected.
  • Please upload your proposal in .docx format.

Awards

Chris Voss Best Paper Award

The authors are asked to decide whether or not their paper is suitable for consideration for the Chris Voss Best Paper Award.

Papers to be considered for the best paper award should be signalled by the authors at the time of submission of the Abstract.

Harry Boer Best Student Paper Award

Entrants must have been PhD-candidates on or after 1st June of the year before the conference. Only one entry can be submitted by an entrant.

The paper should not be signaled for consideration for the Chris Voss Best Paper Award.

Nigel Slack Teaching Innovation Award

This award is selected among papers that are submitted for the topic ‘Teaching and Learning in Operations Management’.
If you want to be considered for this award, then you must submit your abstract for this topic.

Conference Proceedings

The proceedings will only be made available to the participants of the conference. They will not be indexed so as to avoid conflicts with potential journal submissions of the same papers.
